Elchin Amirbekov, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan, gave an interview to the Italian agency Servizo Informazione Religiosa.
“We are confident that the peace treaty, which we hope can be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan shortly, will not only officially end one of the ethnic conflicts, one of the longest and most tragic events in the world, but will also help build trust between Armenians and Azerbaijanis and will allow them to live together as good neighbors and one day, hopefully, as friends,” he said.
