On April 21, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alain Simonyan, received a delegation led by Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, Head of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the French Senate.
Welcoming the members of the friendship group to Armenia, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia highlighted the importance of organizing such mutual visits for developing bilateral ties.
The interlocutors’ discussions focused on interparliamentary cooperation and bilateral ties, as well as on Armenia-EU relations, the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and regional developments.
Alain Simonyan drew the attention of the delegation of the Senate of the French Republic to the issue of prisoners of war, detainees, and missing persons in Azerbaijan.
