On November 9, the second President of the Republic of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, stated in an interview that the best option would be for the guarantors of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty to be Russia, the USA, and China.
Radar Armenia spoke with Ruben Mehrabyan, Vice Chairman of the “For the Republic” party, on the topic.
–How would you comment on Robert Kocharyan’s statement that the guarantors of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty were Russia, the USA, and propose signing another one that would have a guarantee system?
-Robert Kocharyan has turned into an instrument of hybrid war waged against Armenia in the hands of Russia, and not only him, but also Serzh Sargsyan, Narek Karapetyan, Bayramov, and all this was preceded by the cynical statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry, which was dedicated to the fifth anniversary of November 9. All this sounded together with an orchestra or choir. The substantive discussions of all this become meaningless because its motives are more transparent. To take Armenia, to put it under Russia again – this is what these people want.
–Why did Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan give interviews one after the other?
-Because November 9 was a good opportunity to mark the hybrid war with a new attack.
-According to Kocharyan, everything was done by the Republic of Armenia for the Russians to leave Artsakh. How would you comment on this?
-It is a slander against Armenia, and a way to worsen Armenia’s position as much as possible. I simply have a question for the prosecutor’s office: if Vardan Nikolayevich falls under that article, for questioning Armenia’s sovereignty, why does it not apply to the statements of Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan?
–The second president also noted that Armenia unilaterally refused to implement that document, saying in Prague that it recognizes the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including Artsakh.
-This is simple disinformation aimed at misleading the Armenian public, which, fortunately, is no longer successful, since the public has an excellent idea of the events of the chronology, and also at pleasing Russia. It is very clear, it seems, that there is a “raznaryadka” from Russia about who should do what, and people are working. There was something like this in 12 Chairs: “The office” writes.
