“It is a little bit early to talk about it, however I think that it was just a maneuver and I cannot say anything else.”- said ANC member, the president of “Democratic Way” Party Manuel Gasparyan in the conversation with “First news and analyses”, referring to Ter-Petrosyan’s decision not to run as a candidate.
“I am not aware of the other reasons, however I still won’t accept any of them. If we managed to bring five-year political process to the stage that we should avoid it for this reason then I have nothing to say. It was not right to leave us all behind.” said M. Gasparyan.
In his speech Gasparyan also noted that in the further development of the Democratic way Party, they will try to get rid of the maneuvering politicians and if there will be some lusty figures in Congress that will unite to continue the struggle, then they will join them, if not, they will continue the struggle forever on their own. He also didn’t accept Ter-Petrosyan’s excuses about his age.
“As in case of “Prosperous Armenia” Party, I mention this again that ANC is also abandoning its electorate. But it is fine, we will find strength and will accept the challenge by finding braver and younger leader.”
Although Manuel Gasparyan didn’t mention any names, he didn’t exclude anybody either by highlighting that for them the risk of the person is the most important quality. “We will win no matter what”- he said.
