Azerbaijani media, citing the announcement of country’s Statistics Committee, reports that Azerbaijan’s GDP increased by 1 percent for January-October 2012 and hit 44.1 billion manat at current prices over the same period of last year.
Nominal GDP growth for Jan.-Oct. amounted to 2.3 percent compared to the same period of last year. The volume of GDP per capita was 4.823.7 manat ($6.138.6).
The total volume of production in all sectors of the economy decreased by 1.5 percent and amounted to 29.5 billion manat in January – October compared to the same period of 2011, where the main part – 50.9 percent of GDP (22.5 billion manat) falls to the industry. The production of value added in services increased by 6 percent, reaching 11.9 billion manat compared to the same period of 2011.
Net taxes on products and imports increased by 7.5 percent and amounted to 2.799.3 billion manat, or 6.3 percent of GDP.
