Georgian media, citing the announcement made by the Union of Importers of Petroleum Products, reports that imports of fuel to Georgia increased compared to last year.
As reported, for 10 months of 2012, imports of fuel (gasoline and solar oil) amounted to 692,600 tons, or 24,000 tons more than last year. During the reporting period, 316,100 tons of gasoline and 376,500 tons of diesel fuel were imported.
The largest volume of fuel was imported from Azerbaijan – 266,900 tons. This was followed by Romania – 186,300 tons, Bulgaria – 147,000 tons, Russia – 53,600 tons, Italy – 23,600 tons and Greece – 13,000 tons.
