Azerbaijani media reports that Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili met with SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev.
As reported, the meeting was held at SOCAR’s office in Georgia.
Ivanishvili expressed satisfaction with the meeting:
“Strategy of the two countries is creating such a friendship that has not existed in the history ever. We were always friendly countries. Our relations were always normal. My direction and purpose is that”.
Abdullayev in his turn appreciated the meeting with Georgian PM:
‘The meeting was held at a high level. Ivanishvili said that Georgia was interested in raising the relations with Azerbaijan to the level never recorded in the history: “He said that Georgia will establish very strong ties with Azerbaijan. Mr. Ivanishvili asked us to enhance the projects of SOCAR, realized in Georgia and strengthen the position there. And we promised that SOCAR projects would be continued in Georgia and we would develop our business in this country. As a guarantee of Georgian energy supply and security, SOCAR will continue these works”.
