Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday criticized the US presidential election as a “battleground for capitalists”, Trend reported. “An election which is a manifestation of the people’s will has become a battleground for capitalists and an excuse for big spending,” he said in a speech at the Bali Democracy Forum on the Indonesian resort island.
“Democracy has turned into the rule of the minority over the majority,” he said.
