Georgian media reports that US Ambassador to Georgia, Richard Norland had a press conference and announced that Georgia has two-party support for its desire to integrate into Euro-Atlantic structures.
“Both the president and the prime minister seek to ensure that Georgia joined the Euro-Atlantic structures. The issue remains unchanged. Final goal – membership in NATO,” Norland said.
According to ambassador, when U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton last week met with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze, Clinton stressed the progress that Georgia has achieved in recent years.
