Director of the Department of the Israeli Foreign Ministry on Central Asia and the Caucasus Alex Goldman-Shayman had a meeting with Azerbaijani journalists and said that Israel considers Azerbaijan as a strategic partner in the South Caucasus and will always stick to this position.
“Political relations between the two countries have always been good, and economic relations have reached a high level on their background,” said the spokesman adding “The positions of the two countries agree on many key issues, which are of interest to the policy of Azerbaijan and Israel. Israel, as the conflict-affected country, understands issue of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and always supported the efforts for a peaceful resolution of this problem”.
Note, relations between Azerbaijan and Israel have increased considerably since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. The two countries are cooperating in many areas.
