The leader of “Georgian Dream” coalition and a candidate for the post of prime minister Bizdina Ivanishvili welcomes the idea of carrying out 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
He said at today held a press conference that Georgia should take part in the Sochi Winter Olympics.
“For our part, as neighbors, we will do everything to held the Olympics peacefully, without incidents,” – he said.
Yesterday the newspaper “Alia” spread information that the member of the “National Movement” Givi Targamadze and Mikhail Saakashvili’s uncle Temur Alasania hold meetings in Moscow and try to convince the Kremlin that Bidzina Ivanishvili is an American project, and he wants to disrupt the Sochi Olympics.
Ivanishvili commented on this information and did not exclude that Alasania and Targamadze really carried out meetings on the issue. According to Ivanishvili, it is good that he was called pro-American.
