Azerbaijani sources report that on Tuesday, October 16, the state delegation of Georgia will arrive in Brussels to take part in the meeting of EU Georgia Cooperation Committee, planned for October 19.
Members of the state delegation are Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Justice and Internal Affairs as well as representative of State Ministry Staff for Reintegration.
A number of issues, including situation in Georgia, reforms implemented in the country, relations with Russia, conflicts in the country as well as simplification of visa regime and broadening of trade cooperation will be discussed within the visit.
David Zalkaniani has stated that Georgian Dream will make efforts not to delay Georgia’s integration to European Union. On October 19 he will also take part in the meeting of Georgia EU Cooperation Committee.
According to Zalkaniani, his visit is aimed to receive full information on the Georgia-EU negotiations.
Recall that parliamentary elections were held on October 1 with 14 parties and 2 political blocks. According to CEC’s complete preliminary data, Georgian Dream coalition will have 83 deputy mandates, while United National Movement – 67.
