Грузия Online reports that today the Georgian president Mikheil Saaakashvili and NATO secretary general Anders Fog Rasmussen had a phone conversation. This was reported by the president’s administration.
During the talk Saakashvili and Rasmussen discussed the parliamentary elections in Georgia. By Rasmussen’s account there is a historical moment for Georgia. He congratulated Saakashvili and Georgian people for free and just elections.
He once again stressed his support in Georgian integration to NATO. By the end of the talk Rasmussen noted that Georgia’s integration process is irreversible.
