Deputy executive secretary of the ruling, New Azerbaijan Party, Ali Ahmadov, told county’s media that The reality is that the Azerbaijani society sees Ilham Aliyev as its candidate in the upcoming presidential elections.
“While expressing the will of the Azerbaijani people, the ruling party will nominate Ilham Aliyev as a presidential candidate at its congress,” he said, adding “There is no other viewpoint because Azerbaijan has rapidly developed during Ilham Aliyev’s activity. The country’s economy has strengthened. Azerbaijan has significantly strengthened its position in the international arena. It has been recognized as one of the most influential countries in the world. This is regarded as a qualitative change in our life. So, Azerbaijani citizens consider electing Ilham Aliyev as the president for the next five years as a decisive condition of preserving the dynamic development for the future,” he said. “This is consistent with the Azerbaijani people’s expectations for the future. The public believes that if Ilham Aliev is elected as president for the next five years, then the economy will be fully developed and as a result, people’s welfare will improve”.
Regarding the presidential election campaign of the ruling party in 2013, he said that the ruling party uses technology ensuring its victory within each electoral campaign. The 2013 elections will not be an exception.
