Georgian media reports that “Georgian Dream” coalition, which won the elections held on October 1, in Georgia, doesn’t confirm the news that famous Russian speaker Tina Kandelika may be appointed in the post of Georgian ambassador to Russia, in case Georgia restores its diplomatic ties with Russia.
Earlier it was written in websites that Tina Kandelaki will be the ambassador of Georgia to Russia, and it was quoted by one of the members of Georgian Dream coalition.
One of the leaders of the coalition, David Usupashvilli, said that the news didn’t match the truth.
“I’m hearing about this for the first time. Such issue hasn’t been discussed in our sessions” said Usupashvilli.
Note, Georgia has cut all diplomatic ties with Russia after 2008 war.
