Official sources report that “Georgian Dream” coalition, which won the parliamentary elections in Georgia, continues appointments in Parliament.
As it was previously reported, the post of the speaker of parliament was offered to the Chairman of the Republican Party David Usupashvili.
On Monday the leader of the winning coalition Ivanishvili announced at a press conference the appointment to the post of the first vice-speaker of the chairman of “Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia” coalition Manana Kobakhidze.
In addition, nominations of parliament’s committees of the Georgian Parliament were presented. Legal Committee will be headed by constitutionalist Vakhtang Khmaladze, Committee on Defense and Security – defense analyst Irakli Sesiashvili, Committee on Foreign Relations – Former Foreign Minister Tedo Japaridze.
The Committee on European Integration will head former diplomat Victor Dolidze, Committee for Human Rights and Civil Integration – lawyer Eka Beselia, Committee on Health and Social Affairs – Dmitry Khundadze.
For the post of chairman of the agricultural committee of the Parliament of Georgia Gigla Abulashvili is presented, chairman of the committee on industrial economics and economic policy – Nodar Khaduri, to head the Finance and Budget Committee – former Finance Minister David Onoprishvili.
Note that CEC counted 100% of ballots, according to which victory in the parliamentary elections of October 1 won “Georgian dream” coalition. It should get 83 deputy mandates in the new parliament.
