Georgian media reports that the Central Election Commission of Georgia has counted votes from all 3,766 polling stations.
According to full preliminary information, Bidzina Ivanishvili’s opposition coalition “Georgian Dream” won the elections with 54.85 per cent (1.184.612 votes).
The ruling party “United National Movement – More Benefit for People” ranks second with 40.43 per cent (873,220 votes).
Giorgi Targamadze – Christian-Democratic Movement gained 2.05 per cent (44,260 votes), Shalva Natelashvili – Georgian Labor Party – 1.24 per cent (26,764 votes).
Note, parliamentary elections were held in Georgia on Oct.1. Around 14 parties and two political blocs participated in the elections.
