It is possible that next year military trainings will begin in Azerbaijani higher educational institutions, reports vesti.az linking to the words of the rector of Baku State University Abel Maheramov.
Commenting on the announcement, the former defense minister of Azerbaijan said that “Today everybody must think about Karabakh.”
According to military expert Uzer Jafarov the existence of military departments will highly assist to economize the state money. In his turn MP, member of defense commission Jahid Oruj announced: “Any student must be ready for service, especially on the front. War in Karabakh is unavoidable.”
He thinks that Azerbaijani officers must teach the students the necessary programs according to NATO standards. MP Agil Abas also supports the idea. “We must be ready for war. We must improve the military-technical base and carry out trainings in higher educational centers.”
