Georgian presidential administration reported that the representatives of EU stated on Thursday that democratic parliamentary elections were held on October 1, the count of votes has to be carried out in the same democratic way.
Azerbaijani sources inform that the head of EU mission to Georgia Philip Dimitrov, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philip Lefort and head of EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia, Andrzej Tishkevich participated in the meeting.
They stressed that the fact that elections in Georgia have been implemented in democratic way, it confirmed Georgia’s way to construction of democratic state.
As noted EU representatives, Georgian people could express their will and make a choice without restrictions, government has ratified their devotion to democratic ideals, freedom and European values.
The guests emphasized the importance of providing appropriate operation of election administration and the importance of constitutional transfer of power.
