Azerbaijani media reports that the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 842,560 tons of oil products from its own refineries in January-September 2012 compared to about 1.1 million tons in January-September 2011.
As reported, SOCAR exported about 1.45 million tons of oil products in 2011 compared to more than 1.8 million tons in 2010.
Note, petroleum products in Azerbaijan are made on the basis of two Baku refineries with total capacity of 20 million tons a year. Both refineries are part of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, which annually processes approximately seven million tons of oil from onshore and offshore fields at their own expense.
