As РБК reports according to incumbent legislature the president Mikhail Saahakashvili is accredited to create new government after parliamentary elections, but he conceded this right to the parliamentary majority of “Georgian Dream” party. This was reported by the parliamentary speaker of Georgia Davit Baqradze.
“The new parliament won’t approve the PM Vano Merabishvili’s government and a political crisis will come afterwards with new elections. The Constitution vests such a right, but we won’t do that as we respect the choice of the Georgians and Georgian democracy.”
It is noted that Bidzina Ivanishvili has taken up the creation of new government. On that account in the chief office of “Georgian Dream” party the meeting of Ivanishvili with his proponents took place which is closed for the public.
