In connection with the Day of German Unity, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Herbert Quelle made a speech.
Official sources citing the German embassy in Azerbaijan reported that 20 years has passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany.
“After the agreement was reached on the cease-fire in 1994, Nagorno-Karabakh and 7 surrounding districts remained occupied, causing harm to the development of Azerbaijan. The main policy objective is to restore the country’s territorial integrity.
Germany has always supported the efforts of Azerbaijan for a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Relations between Azerbaijan and Germany are at a high level. Azerbaijan occupies the 7th place among the major exporters of raw materials. Also close cultural ties are established.
All this suggests that there is a reason to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijani-German diplomatic relations, “- writes the statement.
