“The military exercises held both in Armenia and Russia, are more important for Russia, than for Georgia” this statement was announced by the director of the Center for Regional Studies, politician, Richard Kirakosyan, at an interview with journalists.
According to him there are two reasons why it is important for Armenia.
“First of all it will make Azerbaijan sober. Secondly it will deepen the Russian-Armenian relations. The main important thing is that the Azerbaijani side will be afraid, and the high officials who earlier said that they were ready for the war, would admit that they would lose the war if it happens. As I already mentioned this will deepen our cooperation with Russia, but, Russia must treat Armenia as an equal country and as a companion country”.
According to Kirakosyan, Georgian side is concerned about the exercises, and they have the right for doing it, since the exercises only pursue Russia’s national interest.
In the end, the politician stressed that Armenia should balance its relation with both Georgia and Russia.
