During a briefing with journalists in Aparan as part of the pre-election campaign, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced that Iran’s liquefied gas will also be supplied to Armenia in the coming days.
“The issue related to the import of liquefied gas from Iran has been resolved, and Iran’s liquefied gas will also be supplied to Armenia in the coming days, which may contribute to a decrease in prices. At the beginning of May, very little liquefied gas was entering Armenia, so there was basically none. We planned to provide the minimum volume of liquefied gas in Armenia, and today this has already been ensured. There is already liquefied gas everywhere in Armenia,” the minister said.
Liquefied gas has exceeded 300 drams in recent days, but today, according to Papoyan, it can be purchased for 240 drams, but that price has yet to drop.
“The attaché of the Economy Ministry in Iran reported to me yesterday that the issue of liquefied gas exports from Iran has been resolved. “This means that Iranian liquefied gas will also enter Armenia in the coming days, which will further lower prices,” the minister noted.
