On April 28, at 16:02 local time (12:02 GMT), the seismological network of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia recorded an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 with a depth of 10 km, 43 km north of the city of Kars, Turkey, at geographical coordinates 40.98⁰ north latitude and 43.10⁰ east longitude.
The intensity of the tremor in the epicenter zone was 5 points. The earthquake was felt in the city of Gyumri, Shirak region, in the villages of Amasia, Zarishat, Vahramaberd, and Marmashen, with a magnitude of 2-3 points.
