Armenia welcomes the decision of the EU Foreign Affairs Council to deploy a new EU civilian mission to Armenia, which aims to support efforts to strengthen Armenia’s democratic resilience, address hybrid threats, including disinformation and cyberattacks, and fight illicit financial flows. The mission will be deployed for an initial period of two years and, through its activities, will contribute to the development of institutional capacities in the above-mentioned areas and to increasing the resilience of Armenian society to current challenges.
The decision to deploy the civilian mission, made based on the RA application, ahead of the first RA-EU Summit on May 5, is one of the next joint initiatives stemming from the strategic agenda of the RA-EU partnership.
