In Strasbourg, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan signed the Council of Europe Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law.
The Convention is the first international legal instrument to protect fundamental human rights in the field of artificial intelligence. The signing of the Convention will provide an opportunity to develop the legal framework for artificial intelligence through close cooperation with international partners.
The Secretary General of the Council of Europe thanked Armenia for signing the Convention and joining the efforts to promote international cooperation in this direction. The Framework Convention has been signed by 17 countries to date, including Council of Europe member and observer states.
