Yerevan Deputy Mayor Sargis Madatyan participated in the 44th General Conference of the International Association of Francophone Mayors in Lausanne, Switzerland.
During the visit, the deputy mayor met with Ariana Ardes, responsible for international cooperation with the International Association of Francophone Mayors. The deputy mayor emphasized that Yerevan Municipality, a member of the Francophone family, attaches great importance to the collaboration with the International Association of Francophone Mayors. At the meeting, issues related to the implementation of the preservation and restoration works of the “Erebuni” ancient site, financial and technical support, and the progress and completion of the project, signed between the municipality and the association, were discussed.
In Lausanne, Sargis Madatyan also met with Michele Rubirola, the first deputy mayor of Marseille. They discussed issues related to cooperation between the two cities and reviewed the agreement.
