The delegation led by RA NA Speaker Alen Simonyan met with the Head of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Penny Mordaunt.
The speaker of the National Assembly noted that this visit to the United Kingdom is an excellent opportunity to discuss issues related to the cooperation of our countries, adding that Armenia is interested in establishing stable foundations and developing multilateral relations with the UK.
There was a reference to the short meeting of the Prime Ministers of the two countries in Chisinau on June 1 and the visit of the UK Minister of State for European Affairs Leo Docherty to Armenia.
The Speaker of the RA National Assembly highly appreciated the programs aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the parliament implemented by the UK.
The RA NA delegation members discussed the region’s security with their British colleagues, detailing the situation caused by the Azerbaijani aggression.
