RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received the newly appointed US Ambassador to Armenia, Christina Quinn. Congratulating the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed confidence that Armenian-American relations will continue to develop and expand during the implementation of her mission.
The Deputy Prime Minister presented to the ambassador the economic indicators recorded last year and noted that the United States occupies an important place not only in the political but also in the economic life of Armenia. Tigran Khachatryan emphasized the importance of further developing the Armenian-American mutual investment environment and promoting trade and economic cooperation.
Ambassador Quinn conveyed to the Deputy Prime Minister the US commitment to continuously support Armenia’s economic and political agenda.
Among other issues of mutual interest, the parties also discussed the situation in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh due to Azerbaijani aggression, expressing concern about the humanitarian crisis among the Armenians of Artsakh.
