The head of the Yolyan blood center Smbat Dalbashyan when referring to the blood donation condition in the country stated the Armenians do not like donating blood.
Dalbashyan highly appreciated the issue of becoming a blood donor and stated a number of new achievements that were reached throughout the past year.
The blood donor issue was actual during Soviet times and everyone should give their blood for this reasons.
Dalbashyan stated only 0.1% of the population is engaged in this process and there are only 16.000 people who are eager to have their blood as a donor, while the number should be 60.000. He also mentioned it would be better if the church and the Red Cross also joined their initiative.
Dolbashyan informed in order to become a donor only 450 ml/l blood is needed
