In order to help Syrian-Armenians, who left the country as a result of the clashes in Syria and fled to Armenia, the representatives of Istanbul-Armenian community expressed willingness.
Initiative organizer KenanYenije advised that citizens wishing to help can contact the St. Vardan, St. George and St. Mary churches in Istanbul.
“It is already winter, and it is quite cold in Armenia. Syrian-Armenians left the country to save their lives, without taking with them much.Children and adults are in need of warm winter clothing: trousers, shirts,coats, long boots and so on.We are going to collect those things, and arrange with a freight shipping company to deliver it to the Syrian-Armenians living in Armenia now,”he said.
