Reporter of “First News and Analyses” Yeghiazar Aynaptsi published an article on the future of the main Armenian parties and their leaders.
“After the 2013 presidential election in Armenia, great changes in Armenia’s political arena will be inevitable.” writes the author.
In case of at least three major political forces, serious post-election processes are expected: RPA, PAP and ANC. “It is obvious that after the elections, serious internal explanations will be in the Armenian National Congress and the ANC’s place and role in Armenia’s further developments will depend on the cracking consensus. The same is expected to be in the PAP, but with more serious question of existence at all and Gagik Tsarukyan’s leave. There is no doubt that Kocharian wil try to take the party, but in case he fails, Serzh Sargsyan will not take it, but eliminate the PAP”, notes Ayntapci.
“Serzh Sargsyan needs this for setting the internal rearrangement the RPA because, without it, he will inevitably overthrow the position in government, the so-called role of successor. In other words, everything is just starting with the presidential elections, and Armenia’s internal political figures await a marathon, rather than a sprint in the near future.” concludes the reporter.
