Azerbaijani media reports that Misir Mardanov, Azerbaijani Minister of Education, during the conference on “Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy in the field of education: current situation and prospects” stated that the number of Azerbaijani students studying at Italian universities within the State program on education of Azerbaijani youth abroad is not satisfactory.
The minister said that even though 24 Italian universities are involved in the program,only four Azerbaijani students are currently studying in the country.
He said that while mutual Azerbaijani-Italian trade turnout is increasing, relations between the two countries in the field of education are at a low level and they should be promoted not only at the level of higher education, but in all directions.
