The head of the “Modus Vivendi” center Ara Papyan told today the journalists that Sargsyan will be reelected and the foreign policy cannot cardinally change. He stated the foreign policy is a stable phenomenon and cannot change very fast so there is not much change to expect in the near future.
Papyan stated Russia will keep its strategic significance in the region and will try to deepen it. Another issue Papyan stated is that Armenia has to keep its military cooperation with Russia but shift its economic attention to the EU.
Papyan concluded that there will be a couple of corrections in the foreign policy, but there is no need to wait for cardinal changes.
