The United States does not intend to simplify the visa regime for Armenia. This was reported by the U.S. Embassy Consul George Lin at the press conference on December 11.
When asked whether the United States is not going to follow the EU’s example to simplify visa issuance procedures for citizens of Armenia, the embassy representative said that “there is no such plan so far.”
George Lin noted that there are a number of countries for which a visa-free regime is working, but at this stage Armenia cannot be included in this list.
“Though the scope of such states is expanding every year,” said the consul.
