On December 10 the NA president Hovik Abrahamyan participated in “Contemporary Parliamentarism and the future of democracy” international conference which took place in Moscow where a number of high officials from different European countries were taking part. As the First Armenian News and Analyses informs, Abrahamyan delivered a speech there.
Hovik Abrahamyan highlighted the parliament’s role in the formation and development of democracy and civic society.
As Abrahamyan stated, the NA of the RA is an open platform for political transparent discussions which gives it a space for the civic society issues and agreements come together and all this fosters the development of the country. In the frames of the conference, Abrahamyan met with the OSCE parliamentary commission president Riccardo Migliori and emphasized Armenia’shigh appreciation of the OSCE participation in the regional conflict resolution processes and the bilateral relations between the OSCE and Armenia. Migliori in his turn highlighted the relations between the NA of the RA and OSCE expressing his will to deepen the relations.
During the meeting the two parties discussed the NK conflict resolution issues and other issues of bilateral interest.
