The first Armenian News and Analyses officially turned to the European Parliament deputy president Alejo Vidal-Quadras Roca’s office to find out whether Tsarukyan’s announcements connected with the PAP visit of Brussels correspond to the reality.
As was mentioned previously, Gagik Tsarukyan and his delegation left for Brussels on the 5th of December. Roca’s assistant Anna Hill stated in her email that Alejo Vidal-Quadras Roca met with some members of the Prosperous Armenia party last week in Brussels in order to gain an introduction to the party’s aims and to enhance his understanding of the political situation in Armenia.
Hill also noted in her email that in the course of friendly conversation the vice president of the European Parliament remarked Tsarukyan’s energy and optimism. “These were personal positive impressions of Mr Tsarukyan’s character and personality” , was indicated in the letter.
Anna Hill also mentioned that in his capacity of Vice-President of the European Parliament, Mr Vidal-Quadras does not wish to interfere in internal Armenian electoral processes.
Recall, that the PAP issued an announcement according to which during the meeting in Brussels the PAP leader talked about their party’s integration into European parties, also about the upcoming presidential elections.
In the announcement it was also stated that during the meeting with Alejo Vidal-Quadras Roca the letter said Tsarukyan is an excellent presidential candidate who has distinguished optimistic charactersitics.
