The head of the Yezdi union Aziz Tamoyan told today at the Red Sultan Yezdi national holiday in the meeting with the journalists that Yezdies’ nation is a hero since it pr4eserved its national identity and culture.
Tamoyan clarified the holiday must be celebrated in December and if it is transferred to January, it will be considered a sin. According to the tradition no steak is allowed to eat on that day that’s why they usually put lamb meat on the table and it is also a sin to come out of the home. Each one has to spend the holiday with his or her family. Tamoyan stated the holiday was to take place on December 13 this year however it was moved to December 21. The head of the Yezdies urged his nation to take an example of the Armenians who celebrate the New Year on the same day every year and do not move it at their earliest convenience.
