The issues on progress and continuity of programs in Yerevan subways jointly funded by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Program, the European Investment Bank and the European Union were discussed by Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, the Head of the European Union Delegation, Ambassador Traian Hristea and the head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Office Valeriu Razlog.
Expressing gratitude for the effective cooperation in the joint program, Mayor Taron Margaryan said that the implemented works already show their effectiveness. “Metro is one of the important means of transportation in Yerevan, metropolitan and municipality is put in the center of government’s attention. Our policy is to expand the subway network and to solve the problem of the security of our residents,” said the mayor.
Head of the Delegation of the European Union Traian Hristea, in his turn, thanked for warm reception and noted that they have a reliable partner on behalf of the government of Yerevan. “We now have a solid basis for continuing and expanding cooperation with the municipality of Yerevan. As a result of the team work today Yerevan subway is much safer for the residents of your town.”
Once again thanking for the effective joint work, the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan expressed willingness to continue projects between the Yerevan municipality and the bank in other areas too.
