ANC and the Republican Party agreed to discuss the ANC’s initiative to create a commission for the March 1 in a year. Moreover, at today’s NA session Hovik Abrahamyan assured ANC that the Republican Party will keep its word and will support the ANC’s initiative next year.
“This means that, in fact, the words of the Republican Party or Hovik Abrahamyan’s words are a basis for the ANC for any agreement,” writes reporter of “First News and Analyses” Hovhan Mandakuni in his article.
He notes that nearly one and a half years ago, ANC believed Serzh Sargsyan, who stated that the case on March 1 should gather new impetus. That news impetus just calmed down the oppositional society, but what will be in a year?
“If the ANC is going to such an agreement, then the ANC believe that one year later, the ruling majority will be the Republican Party. Otherwise, the ANC coordinator would demand guarantees to keep the word from Republicans. In other words, the ANC itself does not believe that they will not be able to change the power together with the PAP.”
The reporter also stresses the importance of the power system’s situation in the future, and notes that here the trend of the contradictions within the government seem to continue deepening, and mainly in the ANC.
“The idea to go to an agreement with the Republicans is not justified for the force, which is genuinely interested in the revelation of March 1 events, and that’s absolutely not justified for the deal with the PAP for the force, which really wants to change the system and values. In other words, the ANC only provides its beautiful retreat from the March 1 issue, at least for the coming year.” concludes the reporter.
