Yeghiazar Ayntaptsi in his political analysis speaks about the book published by the YSU history faculty which caused a lot of agitation among the society connected with the obvious fraud and historical distortions. 2008 presidential election and the consecutive events are presented in a rather subjective perspective which as Ayntapci states, have nothing to do with the reality.
The political analyst names this book a reproduction of “Haylur” which will misinform the coming generations of what had happened then. Ayntaptsi states this is not surprising since the powers of 2008 were basically living on that fraud and cheating. The YSU has turned to a serviceman to the ruling powers where the youth support for their distorted political life is formed. It is interesting to mention that this “present” was delivered on the eve of the presidential elections.
To present events of 4-years-old events in a completely distorted way is concerning not because it misinterprets the past but it has the tendency to reject the present when the blood of the 2008 events’ victims has not dried yet, Ayntapci states. The political analyst reminds the history has the tendency to repeat its courses and the lessons unlearnt will be a cause for another tragedy.
Ayntaptsi mentions this distortion of historical facts is very interesting particularly having the ANC-PAP political “romance” as a background, where the opposition tries to justify the PAP participation in 2008 events. Aynatptsi declares it is a fraud to announce that the political powers of the time had no connection with March 1 events.
The political analyst concludes stating that this case is not a single one in the PAP-ANC history and if the opposition does so, why should we not expect the ruling powers supporting the publication of the historical distorted facts doing otherwise?
