Georgian media, citing the announcement of Tbilisi office of the International Organization for Migration, reports that a ceremony to the supply of technical equipment worth 300.000 Euros as a gift to the Georgian Foreign Ministry will take place on November 26 in Tbilisi, under the EU-funded project ‘Support to the Georgian government in implementation of readmission agreements with the European Union’.
As reported, the project is aimed at assisting Georgia to build up potential in the field of migration management and to solve readmission problems.
Within the project the organization purchased equipment for the collection of biometric data of those whose return to Georgia is required by the EU member states.
