Georgian media reports that country is holding talks with Azerbaijan to reduce customs duties on imports of tangerines.
According to Adjaran Agriculture Minister, Zaur Putkaradze, Azerbaijan is among the countries with which Georgia holds talks on the issue.
As reported, an agreement has been already reached with Ukraine and customs duties on tangerines imports from Georgia into Ukraine dropped by almost twice. Following bilateral talks, citrus exporters can now get customs clearance for a ton of tangerines for $600 instead of $1,100.
According to Putkaradze, the talks between the agricultural ministries of the two countries and the Customs Department of Ukraine lasted for a week.
