Georgian media reports that country’s PM Ivanishvili received the Israeli ambassador to Georgia Yuval Fuchs and discussed the issues of security and threats of terrorism.
Bidzina Ivanishvili was concerned with events occurring between the two countries and expressed hope that the peace will be achieved through the negotiations.
“The Georgian nation expresses its deep sorrow over the death of civilians in Israel and Palestine. Situation should be solved as soon as possible in order for escalation of violence not to continue and peace processes to be restored” the premier said, adding “Israel, like any sovereign nation, has the right to defend its citizens from rocket attacks”.
The Prime Minister said the bombing of Israel should be stopped for the beginning of the peace process.
