Georgian media, citing the announcement of country’s Justice Minister Tea Tsulukian, reports that nine senior officials of the Georgian Interior Ministry were detained.
As reported, the detained officials are accused of receiving information about other people’s private lives by using advanced technology.
“Nine persons, who are former officials of the Interior Ministry, were detained being accused of using advanced technology, computer network to get information about people’s personal lives, including commercial and financial information,” Tsulukiani said and stressed that this is not political detention .
