Azerbaijani media reports that the 18th Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition (BakuTel-2012), has started in Baku.
As reported, the organizer of the event is exclusive partner of British ITE Group in the Caucasus, Iteca Caspian.
President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has also visited the event at Baku Expo Center and currently is getting acquainted with products presented by companies and organizations at the exhibition.
The exhibition has brought together 160 companies from 23 countries, including US, Great Britain, Iran, China, Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Estonia. 40% of them are foreign, others – are local companies. Austria, Canada, Croatia and France have national pavilions.
Note, within the framework of BakuTel-2012, Baku hosted Internet Governance Forum, too. The forum discussed the development of the global Internet network, information security, principles of international internet governance.
