Today at the meeting with journalists politician David Shahnazaryan was asked what influence Ter-Petrosyan’s withdrawal from presidential candidacy would have on ANC and what if Pashinyan is nominated instead. He replied that it would not have any significant influence unless the current state is cardinally changed. He reminded that PAP proposed a slogan “consensus-Serzh Sargsyan” to which Shahnazaryan counter-proposed his slogan: “consensus-oligarchy”. This statement was rejected by all the political powers in the country, Shahnazaryan added. According to his examinations, the political arena today consists of two poles both of them based on criminal and oligarchic stances, hence no liberal democratic opposition can be formed on this ground. This election will remind voting rather than an election, Shahnazaryan concluded.
When asked whether he would put his candidacy for the presidential elections, Shahnazaryan responded he has no such plans.
