Spokesman for Defense Ministry, Colonel Eldar Sabiroghlu said at the press conference that Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces are capable of protecting its strategic facilities.
“Our radar system can detect and immediately render harmless the missile launched by the enemy. We are targeting an Armenian facility, which we can hit within a few minutes. This casts doubt upon the fate of Armenia as a state,” he said.
He noted that Azerbaijan possesses military attachés and representatives in 21 countries, military cooperation with 53 countries, the personnel of the armed forces are in line with NATO standards.
According to him the military higher school has developed so much that people from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan prefer to study there.
“The officers of our armed forces are serving at NATO missions as NATO officers. Their number is increasing. The officer of Azerbaijani Naval Forces will be sent to the headquarters of the Naval Forces in Norfolk, UK. Preparations are underway,” he said.
