Today. October 1st, a presentation on the life and works of Komitas Vartabed on a DVD comprising more than 450 photographs, 100 video clips and 550 musical performances from various artists will be shown at the UC Center in Fresno, USA. The presentation was compiled and will be presented by Garegin Chugaszyan.
The Facebook page created for this event informs that the great Armenian composer’s life and works are beautifully detailed in an interactive DVD comprising more than 450 photographs, 100 video clips, as well as 550 musical performances from various artists. Garegin Chugaszyan presents his audience with a rich catalogue of the artist’s life from the time of his youth, his entrance into the clergy, through celebrated composer and conductor, his interaction with the great personalities of his era, to his final years of seclusion and silence in a French asylum.
The speaker Mr.Chugaszyan is the creator and producer of Komitas, The Life and Works of the Bureau of the Steering Committee on the Media and New Communication Services (CDMC) of the Council of Europe, a member of the High-level Panel of Advisers of the UN Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development (GAID), and a member of the Presidential IT Development Support Council of Armenia. He is also cofounder and executive director of ITF (Information Technologies Foundation) and co-founder and President of Information Technologies Education JSC, Yerevan. He has been active in multimedia productions for the last 15 years.
